AOP SAINT CHINIAN

The estate of 25 ha, in one piece, of which 19 ha of vines facing south on the AOP (Protected Appellation of Origin) Saint-Chinian and Saint-Chinian-Roquebrun which present an exceptional terroir of schists, brings to the wines depth, complexity and length.

Lanye-Barrac was created in 2013 by Mélanie and Bernhard Backhaus at the gates of the regional park of Upper Languedoc, between the Orb valley and the "Faugérois", in the city of Saint-Nazaire de Ladarez.

The vineyard is bordered by the stream of "Barrac" and surrounded by hills decorated with fruit trees. This favors an eco-system so that the vine can express itself and defend itself in a natural way.

The whole property is worked in organic, the surrounding plants, sulfur and copper are the only actors recommended to fight against diseases of the vine.

Animals are also very useful laborers in the vineyard
